Great news everyone – Fortumo has upgraded the SMS-chat service type to use a Flash interface. As most blog engines support Flash objects, more people can now add a chat-box to their blog.
SMS-chat is a basic service type that requires no technical skills from the creator. It allows you to add a *chat-box* or *advertisement column* to your homepage, blog or portal. Visitors of your site can add new messages by sending an SMS and you will *earn revenue* from each SMS sent. In addition, your site will be resistant to spam as sending an SMS requires a small financial input.

- Available for more users – With the old SMS-chat, some people may had the problem that their blog provider was blocking JavaScript. This prevented them from setting up the chat-box. However, as the upgraded SMS-chat uses Flash, it works with more blog engines.
- Automatic refreshing – The new SMS-chat loads new messages automatically, with no need to reload the page. This opens up new possibilities for use. For example, SMS-chat can be projected onto a big screen to collect visitor feedback during a public event.
